I tried to get into Tuscaloosa Pediatrics when we moved here in July and they told me they weren't taking new patients. So we wound up at Bama Pediatrics. We see Dr. Bennuri. I'm not sure yet if I'm happy there.
Well I live about an hour away but we live in a town with crappy peds and drs so we use Tuscaloosa pediatrics and LOVE them, our dr. is Dr. Farmer and he is WONDERFUL

I use Dr. Bennuri. I am soooo happy!! He is sooo sweet to my daughter and always remembers her! I have friends who go to Tusc Peds and they like it but they are always soooo busy. If you use Tusc Peds dont attack me for saying that, cause I know someone will. But I think Dr. Bennuri and his staff are the best! And have never had anything but greatness from them!

Hey queencat, glad to hear it. Someone recommended Tusc Pediatriacs to us so we tried there first. The only reason I said I'm not sure yet if I'm happy is I've only gone to Dr. B once. I did my homework and interviewed him beforehand and he seemed nice. But I guess I need to start developing a relationship over there before I feel really happy. Right now I'm still missing my old pediatrician in FL who was with us since Jack's birth. I liked her a lot. So I'm glad to hear your good feedback!
I think Dr. Phillip Phillips at The Childrens Medical Center "hung the moon". I've heard a few moms disagree, but I think he's wonderful! He can be pretty blunt at times but as far as his pediatric expertise, he is the best in my opinion.
We use Dr. Bennuri also and we love him! Like queencat I really like how always remembers us, and we don't go very often(only for well baby and one time for illness.) I never feel like he is rushing out the door to see the next patient. He was recommended to us by a friend and I am very happy with him and the office.
We love, love, love Tuscaloosa Pediatrics. They have recently begun taking walk-in visits from 8am till 9:30. So, when my boys need a sick visit I don't even have to call - I just show up and they are seen immediately. Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Walker are GREAT!

I already replied to this topic once saying how much I like our Pediatrician. Dr. Phillips has always impressed me with his medical knowledge and the way he treats any illnesses. Wednesday, we had to take my 16 month old daughter to see him unexpectedly. She had been a little sick with a cold, and when she woke up from her afternoon nap, she had a fever and a cough so harsh that she couldn't breathe well. I called Dr. Phillips office to let them know we were on our way and found out that he was out of town. The receptionist, who is the sweetest lady ever, apologized and said I could go to one of the walk in clinics. I hung up with her and then called her back. I wasn't for sure where to go or what to do. I told her what our sypmtoms were and she said that Dr Bennuri was on call and helping Dr Phillips out. She called them and asked if they could see us. They said to come on in. I have to tell everyone who reads this (and I hope all everyone does) that Dr Bennuri was incredible! Wow! I am so impressed. From the moment we signed in, everyone was so nice! The receptionists, the nurses, and Dr. Bennuri are all praisable! I watched as a nurse picked up and hugged one of her littlest patients. Everyone we came in contact with was so welcoming eventhough it was getting late and I know they were ready to get out of there for the holiday. They called us back and we met the doctor. Dr. Bennuri came in and asked a few questions, listened to me talk, and took his time examining my little angel. In the end, it turns out that we have a little case of the croup. She's actually much better today thanks to Dr. Bennuri. I just wanted to give Dr. Bennuri and his staff the "props" that they deserve. I'm trying to think of something (in addition to a letter) that I can send or taked to their office next week. Any suggestions are welcomed, by the way. So now I have two favorite Pediatricians in Tuscaloosa!
I just have to second all that about Dr. Bennuri. Like I said before, I had only been to him once. But Friday we went to our WBV and I was so stressed out about Jack's shots and he took the time to listen to me and he was so helpful and kind and informative. I found myself trusting him. So we are pleased with our doc!
We LOVE Dr. Cunningham. My oldest son started with her when she was in practice by herself, and now we've moved with her to Tusc. Peds. I feel like she knows our family and our parenting styles.
