Jack's mommy

So Jack's cousins are visiting from NC. And his little cousin who is 14 months was just getting over Coxsackie virus. She had been on antibiotics for several days before she got here. So we hoped it wouldn't spread.
Well Jack woke up with a low grade fever today. Otherwise he is acting fine. My SIL says this virus caused a fever, fussiness and sores all over my niece's throat.
Anyone have any experience with this? Do you think Jack is in the clear or do you think he'll be getting sores soon?

I have no experience at all with that virus. And I'm confused about the whole hand-foot-mouth thing, which is also apparently what is making all those kids sick in China. But that is being caused by another virus, not coxsackie, right?

hmmmmm, Jacob had this when he was a toddler. he only had the low grade fever and the sores on his feet and hands. he started to get a couple in his mouth when we caught it and he was put on meds. he never experienced the fussy part, thank goodness.
Just watch him, his chances for getting it are probably small at this point, but its still a possibility. I know that really doesn't help, sorry.

So we've had a low grade fever over here. Some fussiness. But nothing else. No sores. So I'm hoping he doesn't get worse. Cross your fingers!

Thanks for asking!
Jack is fine. He fought off quickly whatever it was and he's back to his old self. Yay! Smiler
