Hi , I am still new at this! Just joined. I used to go to Dr Brown but switched to Dr Skelton who is a family doc. Still up in the air as to wether I like him for my toddler. He is a wonderful doc for adult , but he misdiagnosed my girl with sinusitus which quickly turned in to croup and then pneumonia. His nurse practioner is awesome. She has a toddler of her own. She diagnosed my girl with the pneumonia. I do not like Dr phillips. He was not very nice and warm to my child. I have also heard Dr Yaya is awesome! Still undecided. I make go back to Dr Denise Brown at tus peds. She is great . However her nurses are not all that accomadating. Any advice? Thanks courtney ninipoling@hotmail.com

I would stay with Tusc. Peds. I love Brown and Farmer and Nurse Ann is awesome! I have to agree about some of the other nurses though. Farmer and Brown came highly recommended to me from a RN in the NICU she said lots of doctors use them as their ped. for their own kids.

Welcome, jrigby08! Have you looked into Bama Pediatrics (Dr. Bennuri?)? That's where we go.

jrigby08 do check with Bama Pediatrics I am pretty sure that they accept your type of insurance I know someone that had Medicaid and that is who they used. Like GG my kids also use West Alabama Family Pracitce(Dr. Morr) and I have been very pleased with the drs. and nurse there.

we use bama peds, dr bennuri as well. they are amazing. you don't have to wait forever to be seen and you don't have to see a different dr. everytime you go in. we've been with them for a year and my kids haven't even seen the other dr in the office, his wife. and they have a seperate waiting area for newborns

We use Dr. Brown and Dr. Walker at Tuscaloosa Peds. I love the entire staff and have never had any trouble. Nurse Amy is my favorite, but all the nurses are usually wonderful. Sorry to hear that you had problems.

It's interesting to see so many people happy with Bama Peds. I have been there a couple of times since moving to the area and I am not happy with it at all. I would love to go to Tusc. Ped. but they aren't taking new patients. Any other suggestions besides those two?

My LO's use to go to a Pediatrician, but when I was preggo with my 3rd I decided to change dr's. just because I had been unhappy with their peditrician and the results that they (I) was receiving so I figured that it was time for a change. Now my LO's use West Alabama Family Practice (Dr.Morr)and I absolutely love it there. We have seen some of the other dr's. in that practice before too and they are all wonderful, the nurses are great too. Just something to keep in mind.
