Has anyone ever heard of this? A little boy died of it. He was swimming and then got out of the pool, dried off, complained of being tired and when he went to take a nap he died. His lungs were full of water and he drowned. So scary!

I read this story and it's so scary to me . I had NO idea this was possible.

It also really scares when I think back to last weekend. I was telling some of you about it last night - how Amelia was at the pool with us two weekends ago and the next day started vomiting a LOT. We thought it was because she had fallen, BUT she had also swallowed a lot of pool water.

Makes you wonder. VERY scary.

One more thing for me to worry about all summer!

That is very scary. Sometimes my LO will do things that, when I really think about it afterward, worries me because anything can happen. It's just a reminder of how precious every day is with our loved ones. Just tragic for that family.

That story is so scary. We just got a pool so I was reading about it on the internet - after my daughter swallowed and coughed up water - and came across this website (below) that helped clear it up a little and take some of the panic out of a fun day in the pool. It seems to be informative, although I'm not sure if it is written by docs. or not.
