I quit breastfeeding almost a year ago. My breasts are still producing small amounts of milk. No leakage like when I was actively breastfeeding, but definitely milk coming out if I squeeze them. Anyone have any clue as to why this is still happening and when will it stop?
I don't have an answer but I am very sad to here that! I just quit breastfeeding last week and was hoping I would stop producing milk in the next couple of weeks. Oh, well. I guess there's not much you can do to help speed up the progress.
In reference to an earlier post: You could pump, freeze and sell it! Just kidding.
Can't help in this area. My milk 'came in' with two of my three, but wouldn't 'come out'--not a drop...no matter how hard I tried. With the middle one, it never came in.
Get this - I couldn't breast feed because I have an abnormal boob so I engorged and then it went away on both mine. Mine are now 5 and 3 and sometimes I get small leakage in my bra, usually around my period. I think it's all hormones and how they level out. No advice or help here!!
Hmmm, that's really interesting. Another mom I know told me this happened to her. As I think about weaning it makes me wonder if I have this to look forward to down the road...
