Gwyneth Paltrow talks about her struggles with post partum depression.
I really like her and I'm glad she's making movies again.

Ya know - funny how that stuff can sneak up on you. I was fine after my first - riding a wonderful new mom high. With child number 2 I was in a funk for a while afterwards. I did nothing about it (no doctor or anything) but I knew something was off, and then it just gradually went away and I got busy in life again. Hormones are very crazy powerful little things. I think the biggest thing a new mom can do for herself is to seek out help if and when they feel off or not themselves. Advice I need to take from myself, but still, most of us don't!

I was VERY depressed for a long time after I had my first, so I was very worried about that when I got pregnant with my second.
But, for some reason, the first year after this LO was born was probably the happiest year of my whole life. And -sadly - that really just makes me feel even more guilty about how depressed I was during my eldest's early years.
You just can't win!
