So it's been almost a year since I gave birth. And man I lost a lot of hair in the months after. Now I have all these short hairs sticking up around my face. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm not a big fan of the porcupine look. (If you look at that pic of me with Jack on the site, you can see the short hairs above my left eye. I slicked them down but look how short they are! Those used to be all long like the rest of my hair). When will my hair grow back? Anyone else dealing with this? TIA

OMG! I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM - except, mine is coming back yet. I have a big bald spot about the size of a 1/2 dollar on one side of my head!!! It is driving me crazy!!! I will be glad to have the porcupine look!!!! How long was it before yours began to grow back??? Sarah is 3 months old and it seems to be getting worse instead of better!!!

Oh, at 3 months post partum I was still shedding like a dog. I was appalled at the clumps of hair at my feet in the shower. I still shudder to think about it. I guess the porcupine pieces started growing at around 6 months. And now they've stopped growing and just stick up. WTH?

I had enjoyed everything about being pregnant and having a baby - until now. Now I am wondering if my body and life will ever adjust!! The hair and the belly that won't go away! Oh well, to have our little angel is worth it!! I will have to look forward to the porcupine days!! Thanks for the info!

I thought that I was going bald! I didn't have hair loss after the first--I guess the close second pregnancy kept me from losing any. But, the weird thing is, I didn't start losing hair until #2 was about 2 years old. I thought that it was too delayed to be post partum hair loss. Most of it came back--maybe all. I feel like my hair is not as thick as it used to be but it could be my imaginagion and/or just the fact that I am experiencing normal age-related hair thinning.

I have the short little hairs at my hairline also. I just started noticing them a couple of weeks ago. I'm 8 months post-partum and, frankly, just relieved that I'm not still loosing hair.

I do forsee using more styling products to tame them in the near future.

Kristy, I too have the porcupine look. My baby hairs are about two inches long and they are the worst around the adge of my hair line. Before I hairspray them down in the morning, they all stand straight up! I am getting them all over my head though, so I am using alot my hairspray now than I used to Smiler. I hope they start growing alot faster than they are now because they seem to be at a standstill.
