So did any of you receive post partum "push presents" from your significant other? I didn't even know there was such a thing. You mean I could have put diamond earrings on my hospital bag to-do list?! LOL

LOL Kristi!! I have indeed heard about these, because I have had several heated discussions about push prizes with a good friend of mine who lives in the northeast.

I did not get a push prize with either girl - but I did get to go home with a baby, which was a pretty nice present :-) LOL.

My husband and I didn't exchange wedding day gifts either though - seemed wasteful after the expense of our wedding.

My friend on the other hand, got diamond earrings.

Same here Moozle, I got 2 girls and a honeymoon - no little wrapped box of anything. I guess I got the gifts that keep on giving . . . a marriage and family!

I have heard of this, but I didn't recieve a "push present" either. My father and step-mother gave me a bracelet with my sons name on it, but that was for Christmas, not just because I was having him (Christmas was only 7 days before my son was born). I too think that is wasteful, but that may be because we don't have the kind of money to be buying diamonds, especially when looking at being off for 6-8 weeks for maternity leave with only one income. LOL!

yes, ladies you were all due a push present. You pushed that baby out didnt you? And you carried that precious one for approx. 40 wks right? I received a push present for my son, but have yet to receive one for the birth of my daughter--my husband is working on it though. But I know there are some that take it too far (in my opinion) by registering for push presents. I personally think that is taking it a little to far, but anyway.
So go for it!

Oh you gotta get a push present! I made sure my hubby knew that it was a must! If he thought everyone else was doing it then he wouldn't want to be the only one not (heehee!). I got a beautiful diamond necklace.
