Jack's mommy |
One of my favorite baby products, hands down, is called "100 Disposable Diaper Bags" by Baby King.
The name, though unoriginal, says it all. It is a small box of 100 little powder-scented bags that you use to tie up your dirty diapers so they don't smell. Some friends have seen me use these in the past few weeks and asked me where I got them. As I raved about them I made a mental note to put up a post about them. So here's my infomercial - LOL... If you too are tired of gagging over the smell of your diaper genie, hit up a dollar store and buy these bags. We threw out our diaper genie in disgust and started using these baggies and throwing Jack's diapers in the household garbage and - it works! No smell. They're great on the road too. We've been traveling for two weeks and staying with family and friends and in hotels and I have peace of mind that my son's smelly diapers will not offend anyone. I have a box on my changing table, in my car and in my diaper bag. And they are only $1 a box! A bargain to boot! Can you tell I'm a big fan? LOL (Baby King, if you are reading, we are available to do billboards and commercials - hee hee) ![]() ![]() |

We hated the Diaper Genie too. You have to be shown over and over how to use those things, and the bag refills are expensive. We went with the Diaper Champ, and we love, love, love it. You use regular bags to hold the diapers, and you just pop the diaper in the slot and pull the handle over. It has a center chanber that you put the diaper in that slides up and down when you pull the handle over. It smells a little when you change the bag, but we only have to change the bag about once a week. I can't say enough about this little known better versoin of the Diaper Genie.

We also use the disposable bags and just put them in our regular trash can. I bought them at the dollar tree. A box of 100 for a dollar, but it doesn't say diaper king so I guess it's not the exact same product. They work though. I love them. My new favorite product though is a sippy cup by Nuk. It has a really soft top that is similar to a bottle but looks like a sippy cup. My son drinks better out of this cup than any other. My only issue is that it is so hard to find. I have been looking for one for a month or so every time I go to Walmart or Target. My sister gave us one for Christmas and just yesterday I found one more. Yea!

Thanks for the suggestion about the bags...I'll look for them for the next time we travel. We heard bad things about the Genie, so we registered for the Diaper Champ and love it. It uses regular trash bags and is super easy to change out.
I was wondering if anyone has tried these onesie extenders: http://www.cheekymonkey.ca/IplayGarment.htm What a great idea! My little chunky monkey is outgrowing his clothes! I'd like him to be able to wear his winter clothes a bit longer. Thanks! Angie |
