I have not used these myself since we wear cloth, but I know a ton of people that do.

Hey these are cool. We started using these when Maya was younger. It is a really neat concept, but you have to make sure you get the right fit for the shell. Since Maya is small for her age, we had a lot of "blow outs" with the g diapers because they were too big. Now that she is bigger they fit well. They are a little bulky, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal. Overall, I like them. I love how they make very little impact on the environment since you can flush them. If you do decide to not flush them, they biodegrade much faster in the landfill. For non green reasons, I also like them because they are so cute and have a little "g" on the behind. If you have specific questions, I would be happy to share more with all of you.

I found these online a while back and thought they seemed like a neat idea. The ease of disposable with the environmental benefits of cloth... But did you look at the price? The seem very expensive to me. A 32 pack of size med/large refills is 14.49 (and I'm sure there are S&H on top of that) That is about 3 times the cost of the disposable diapers I use!! I when I use disposable I buy White Cloud at Wal-Mart. You can get a case of 104 size 3 for about $15. I've been using cloth diapers most of the time recently and usually only use disposable overnight and when we are out. I think that cost (and environmentally) wise cloth diapers are the best option. But, if you're not concerned about price these flushable diapers sound awesome.

I agree with you, SarahMay. These are pricey. We haven't fully adopted them and have not been using them as our main diapers because of their cost and limited availability. I love the concept-very limited environmental impact besides water to flush the toilet. However, it is frustrating how things that are simpler and/or have more natural ingredients are more expensive. Since these are new and there are no other diaper hybrid competitors that I know of, they can charge whatever they want. I am interested to see the costs for green products to come down as there are more competitors.

Hopefully the price will come down soon! Yeah, I don't understand why green products (or healthier foods) always seem to cost more either. You would think that since there are less materials involved with making the refill inserts than a disposable diaper they would cost less than a sposie. Probably they will once there is more competition and if this idea really catches on. Oh, and those covers are really cute!
