I feel like Ben is getting sick of his toys...even the ones we got him for Christmas. I feel like I need to step it up...get a ball tent or something. He'll be 8mo next week. What were or are your lo's favs at this age??
i know this may sound silly, but we got Ronald a big bag of the large lego's, and he loves them. He also loves this zebra ride on thing my Dad got him for Christmas. But Ben is probably to little for that yet. Ronald loves his shape blocks and the rings still. I would say the more basic it is, the more he loves it. He got a whole bunch of music playing and light up toys for Christmas, but he loves the simpler ones best. Except for a Leap Frog Alphabet learning gadget shaped like a small radio. You turn hard plastic pages to get to different letters, and he played with that for four hours on the way back from Georgia. I read somewhere to put away half of you childs toys for one month, and then sway them every month, so that the toys stay new and interesting. I am going to do that as soon as we have Ronald's birthday party this weekend. I think is sounds like a great idea, but we will see how well it works. Maybe that can help some. LOL!

Good question! I have a bunch of Jack's Xmas toys out so he has lots of choices throughout the day but I think he's already bored of some of them. I have been thinking of hiding some for a few days or a week to see if he then likes them better. LOL. Am I overstimulating him?
Having said that, at Ben's age Jack loved his shape sorters (still does) and those stars you put on a stick and it lights up. KWIM? And that thing where you push a button and the animals pop up and he gets to put them back down. Sorry, I don't know the real names for any of these toys! LOL. Oh! And the jumpy thing in the doorway! He loved that so much. Now he's too big for it. HTH
Thanks for the suggestions, girls. Kristi, I'm not sure what the stars on sticks toy is, but Ben does love the animal pop up toy, and other cause/effect toys. April is right, sometimes the simplest thing can entertain them the best! We were at a dinner with the swim team earlier in the week, and Ben was so entertained by a package of plastic silverware!
My son got a Playskool Air-tivity ball popper for his 1st b-day and he thought it was the funniest thing. He is 2 1/2 now and he still plays with it. Just google search ball popper and it will link you to Target's website and you can see it there.
