Mommy Calling Cards? Hmmmmm. What do you think of these "mommy business cards" you can hand out at play dates? I think it's a pretty good idea.

I like the babysitter journal one - we have a "babysitter's guide" that I did up and printed off the computer, but this bound one would be handy and easier to keep up with.
I don't know about calling cards. Are people really going on that many playdates? My 3 year-old plays with the neighbors and my friends' kids, and that is less than once a week - the rest of the time she plays with her brother. On the other hand, for anybody who doesn't have a business card, a personal calling card makes sense anyway, probably.

The only thing I would say against the journal is to wait until after they are a year old to get it. The sleep and eating and napping schedules change so much in that first year, I would have had to buy a dozen or more, LOL!

My LO plays with other kids all day long at daycare, so I haven't really done any play dates. He seems to relish the half hour or so after dinner when my DH and I sit down and play with just him. I have to admit, I probably like it just as much as my LO does. I agree though, that a card is much easier to just hand out that having to find a pen and paper.

I loved my breast pump. If you are going to buy a Medela pump (I have one), definitly opt for the extra $40 and get the pump that is removable from the bag-for two reasons: easier to pump in moving vehicles (you don't have to balance the big bag on you lap, and reason two; you never know how long you will be able to or will want to bf, so having a bag you can use after you are done is a plus. I still use mine on trips to carry snacks and drinks for my LO!
