we have always used playtex ventaire bottles for my son but lately thier all starting to leak. It's the bottom part of the little plastic round piece thats leaking. What bottles do everyone else use? I guess i'm going to have to switch all my bottles.

Schro006, I use the Dr.Brown bottles with my LO and I have really been pleased with them. I have also used the Avent bottles too, but I don't like them as well as I do the Dr.Brown ones. Just a suggestion, good luck with your bottle search. Big Grin

We didn't use bottles too often but when we did we used Avent. They were recommended by several friends and worked great for us.

We use the ventaire advanced and have had no problems with leaking. If you are using the regular ventaire bottles try getting the replacement discs and see if that works. We have also used the drop in bottles and they work well too.

I hope the replacement discs work for you. If not, and you do end up having to buy all new bottles I'd suggest that you buy something with the same type of nipple as the bottles you have now. I don't know what type of nipple the ventaire have, but I'm thinking it is the standard size straight type? So, if you were to buy bottles with a wide nipple like Advent or an orthodontic nipple like Gerber Nuk your baby may refuse it and you'll have wasted $$$. I just use the plain old classic / standard bottle that are about $1 each at Target. I've never had a problem with them, but I haven't used them as much as most people, since I BF for 9 months.

Oodly enough when my son was on the bottle we tried every kind in the world. He had terrible colic and we were desperate so we spent all kinds of money of different ones. We finally found these really cheap straight bottle that where failry straight and had thick, dark nipples. I have no idea what kind they were or where we got them-it was a chain store but not one of the big ones-but they never leaked. Also they seemed to be his favorite and he cried a little bit less with them.
