Did you swear as a teen? Does your teen swear?
Check out this interesting article. I remember swearing in front of my friends sometimes, but I would never ever swear in front of an adult. I still don't swear in front of my parents! It just feels weird. But I remember having friends as a teen who would and their parents didn't care. I remember my dad getting mad at me one time for using the word "sucks." He was so mad. So the last thing I was going to do was drop an F bomb! I can't imagine what shade of red and purple his face would have become. It's so funny, because I've never heard my teen curse - he actually gives ME the evil eye if I let something slip!
I'm sure he curses in front of his friends. I mean, I don't live in a dream world. But I think he'd die of embarrassment if he said something crude in front of me. |
