What do you think of these teen driver restrictions Alabama is trying to put forth?
Fair? Not fair? http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/20080411/NEWS/438750501/1007 ![]() |

Fair.
Home by ten!... Not b/c I told you so, it's the LAW! There are exceptions for church and work, so I think it is fine. My 14y/o can't wait until she can drive. She thinks she will be gone all the time! Poor girl, she's gonna be so let down. This, and the fact that she is going to have a strict gasoline allowance! HEE HEE A friend of mine's son is 16 and went through $75 in gas in two days. What should one do in this situation? |

Fair & wonderful! Though I have my doubts that the part of the bill looking to limit passengers would help much if the driver is a boy & his passenger is a girl -
My eldest is 18 & very cautious, & I like to think he's a pretty safe driver. But I'm not crazy - I'm sure that if a pretty girl was with him & asked "How fast can this thing go?," my "cautious driver" would be tearing up the highways. I saw that happen many times in high school! But any extra restrictions would have made me feel a little better about letting him out on the roads at 16! |
