What do you think about those teenage girls who beat up another girl and taped the whole thing in order to post it on YouTube?

Does YouTube bear any blame for being the motivating factor for these girls in their misguided search for fame?

I don't blame YouTube at all. Did these girls not know that beating someone was a crime? If not, they certainly learned the hard way. Besides, posting undisputable evidence--what were they thinking?

If there is a lesson to be learned by other teens, it's that you can't go on a message board--MySpace--and post negative comments about other people. It didn't call for a beating; but you you don't know what consequences will come from suff like that.

The girl that was beaten said that someone had hacked into her MySpace... ????

I remember a few years ago, some local girls were going on an overnight school field trip. Several girls were writing about the upcoming event on Xanga.com--MySpace for younger kids. At some point, a few of them 'hinted at' who they didn't want to room with--knowing that the girl also had an account. It wasn't difficult to figure out and it made some girls very upset... and moms, too. Sometimes young girls (boys, too) just don't think two seconds into the future.

These girls were maybe 12. The ones in FL should have known better.
