Jack's mommy |
Check this out. Two teens are expelled from school for the entire year for kissing on a bus. This seems extreme to me.

I think this is just another example of the lack of common sense in schools these days. Zero tolerance... sounds good on the surface, no sex or drugs at school. But, who imagined you would be expelled for a tylenol or kissing?
I admit, they should have been reprimanded for making out on the bus. Like the mom said, suspend them from the bus for a day or two. This is rediculous. My views are a little skewed... when I was in high school, we had a smoking court for smokers, you could ask the teacher for an "aspirin" and making out on the bus was a common sight (not me). Once,(this was never reported, however) our very young bus driver let 2 kids off the bus to "duke it out" for a couple of minutes. They wrestled around on the ground for a minute or two and then the bus driver told them to get back on the bus and that they would be sent to the office for any more fighting. Everything was fine between them after that. I remember another bus driver saying "Tell 'so-and-so' to unlock lips--we're at his house." LOL |
