My LO took this class last year (when he was 2), and it was fun, educational AND inexpensive.

DistractedMom-
Would you recommend the class for a 7-month old or would it be better to wait till my LO is at least a year or two old? Were there babies in the class when you took it or was it mostly toddlers and preschool age?

I'd say wait a year or so, and some say parents should wait until their kids are school age. But I do believe I saw kids younger than 2 when we were there. And it's so much fun & such a nice bonding experience...

I think Will would have fun, but I kind of doubt a 7-month old can learn to swim. We're PARA members, so I might just start to take him to the pool occasionally during open swim to splash around and wait for the actual lessons. I'm dreading wearing a swimsuit in public. Frowner Don't even think I have one that fits anymore. I didn't go swimming at all last year because I refused to wear a maternity suit.

I've refused to wear a swimsuit for years, SarahMay. I've always hated the things - even when I was thin, and despite the fact that I've been an excellent swimmer since I learned at age three ... Confused
Anyway, I made my husband do the actual swimming for the PARA class; I just came along to cheer them on and take pictures.
