I take my son to Tuscaloosa Library once a week for story time. And we really enjoy it. The librarian reads books to us and sings songs with us. We do crafts, blow bubbles, play with toys. And it's free. I recommend checking it out.

I noticed on their website that the Baby class is for newborn to 23 months. My son is 21 months. Are there other older babies in that class? Or should I try to attend the toddler class? How many moms usually attend?

The age rule isn't strict at all. My friend comes with me and her son is 2. There are a few older babies there but generally they are mostly little ones. There's usually 8-15 moms there each week.

I am glad you told me about that. I will probably take Alec next week. It sounds like a lot of fun. Hope to see you there, Kristi, and Kristi.

April, it was so great meeting you yesterday! Alec is such a handsome little guy. Jack had fun making Thanksgiving crafts with him. Big Grin

Okay Who all attends story time? I have it on my calander for June 11th and I am determined to not let anything keep us from being there (mainly my fear of walking through the door, lol).

More than likely, Will and I will be there on the 11th. We just started going weekly about a month before the Spring session ended. Is the 11th the 1st one when it starts back or does it start back the first Wed in June? Anyway, I'll be sure to look for you there.

That's good! I thought it was going to be on the 4th, and Will has his 9-month checkup that day.

We always go too. But we won't be there the 11th because we'll be in Boston. The following week we'll be in NY. So we'll be there probably the 3rd week. Look forward to seeing you ladies there!

I'll be there tomorrow. It's at 10 AM. Everyone sits in the floor with the kids. They read a few stories and sing some songs. Sometimes they pass out musical instruments/rattles for the kids to play. The last couple of times I went they had a bubble machine. They also do baby signs.

LivisMom,
I looked for you at story time, but I don't think you were there. Hope you can make it next time. SM, it was good to see you and that adorable little Will.

We headed to a new class at CHOM after story time--it's called Toddle Time. Sort of a play group/mom chat for toddlers. It's at 11 on Wed. My hubby is in there now with Ben while I do a little work next door at a coffee shop....you can see how much work I'm getting done!
