FYI: The Birmingham Zoo has a new interactive kangaroo exhibit that will open Sunday.
I am hoping to bring Jack to the zoo sometime soon. I think he's at an age where he'll get pretty excited. He likes to make animal noises when he sees different animals.
Oh, we went to the zoo about 4 weeks ago and Alec just loved it. Even the animals that I don't really care about, like the birds, Alec got excited about. Jack is at a good age for the zoo. And they have a train there that goes around the park and thats fun, too. Make sure to buy your train token at the front gift shop.

We were going to hopefully go this weekend anway to renew our memberships there and the mcwayne center ... now we have some added incentive!
FWIW, I think Bham has an amazing zoo for a city of its size. We used to go to National Zoo in DC before moving here, and even though that was much larger, I'm just as happy with the Bham zoo!
