Let's start a list of favorite playgrounds in the area so moms can get ideas of where to go.

What's your favorite playground?

My backyard! Kidding....but we do have a big swingset that the kids love.

The one at Snow Hinton Park isn't too bad.

I really want to check the one out at the UCP office (I think) in Northport. A friend went and said it is awesome!

I want to check out the UCP one too.

My girls love the one in Northport, on 69. If you're heading north on 69, you cross over the bridge into northport and it's on the left almost immediately, behind the gas station. It's a pretty nice one.

We also really like the playground at Muny Sokol. It has really cool slides if your kids are into slides (there is one super high one). It doesn't have swings though, which is the one drawback.

I've only been to snow hinton once, and I did like it, but my DH got bitten by a wasp and won't go back. LOL.

The only one we've been to is the UCP one...we love it. It's great for really little ones, too.

Jacob's fave was the one at school, Verner, but we are in the process of building a new one. the old one was torn down.

I wanna try the one at UCP. Where is it?

We do not like the one at snow hinton. its old and worn out and not good for little ones.

UCP park is across from Matthews Elementary on Rice Mine Rd. . It is next to the UCP office. It sits off Rice Mine Rd. a little.

My mom and I took Olivia to the UCP park this morning. It is a really great park. She had a great time and i loved how safe everything was, especially the padded flooring. It is definetely a great playground for smaller children.

This isn't the most spectacular playground, but Jack LOVED one of the slides there. It's the playground by the airport off 82. There are several slides at this one (which Jack loves). And he especially loved this yellow tunnel slide. He must have gone down that thing 100 times and laughed every time.
Just an fyi...

Oh, and I agree that UCP is a great playground for little ones after going there Friday for the Baby Social. Smiler

I have a question ladies...
Do any of you know if they have a park/water park around here?
Back where I am from they have a playground and behind it they have a big water part where the water shoots out of the ground. They always have tons of children there. I was wondering if there was something like that around here?
They also have the same thing at another park, but it has train rides, rollercoaster for the little kids and a marry-go-round, do they have anything like that here also?
