Raise money for a good cause and enjoy some family fun at the Laps for CF (Cystic Fibrosis) event taking place at the University of Alabama Aquatics Center Friday April 18 at 4:30 p.m.

There will be swimming and diving exhibitions, food, live entertainment and children's activities.

Cost: $5 donation, which includes food.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease where a defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce a thick, sticky mucus. This mucus clogs the lungs and obstructs the pancreas. About 30,000 children and adults suffere from CF in the U.S. with approximately 400 of them living in Alabama.
