Does anyone know when CHOM is having its Easter Egg Hunt this year? What about UA?
My tot loved them both last year, so we don't want to miss them. But I can't believe it's almost that time again!

UAs is early this year b/c of spring break - March 9 at 1:30. They are finally getting smart (after last year's debachle for any of you who showed up only to leave with sad crying children), and there are going to be two separate hunts - one for younger kids and one for older ones.

Hopefully this will enusre that within 2 minutes, a handful of preteens have not scooped up every last egg leaving none for the tots.

Thanks, Moozle! Do you know if it's going to be in front of the president's mansion again? And how are the age groups divided?

It is in front of the president's mansion, but I don't know how the ages will be divided. They will start having info in the tusc news a few days before probably.

And if I hear more I'll post it here!

Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) is having an Easter Egg Hunt & Coloring Contest March 22 at the Belk Center. It costs $3 per child.

Also March 22 is Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Phelps Center. That costs $5 per child.

We went, and there was hardly anyone there!
I think some people got the times confused (we did - it was actually at 1 pm, and I thought it was 1:30), because a few families straggled in late.
But our kid got to meet the Easter Bunny and got all the eggs his basket could hold, so it was great for him.
I took some pictures, too, but I think I'll wait and post them after Easter (so we can also add some pix of him dying eggs & hunting them with his cousins!).

We went! My oldest, Anabelle, was actually on the front page of yesterday's Crimson & White hugging the easter bunny.

It was a lot of fun. I think the low turnout was due to poor advertising. Every year it is near impossible to find out when this event is. some of the girls in charge asked us how we found out, and I told them truthfully that I had had to call the panhellenic association and ask about it. The only day it was in the paper was Sunday (that I saw), and they said the only other thing they do is flyers around campus.

I'm a UA employee but didn't see any.

It was a LOT of fun though. My girls filled their baskets and met the easter bunny! I'll post some pictures in a minute.
