Is there a scrapbooking store in Tuscaloosa? I haven't seen one. I know Hobby Lobby has materials, but I don't think they offer the fun classes like a "scrapbook only" store does. Any suggestions?
No, there used to be one in the same shopping center as Hobby Lobby but it closed down. Now the only place to get good stuff is at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. As for the Scrapbooking Classes I dont know of anyone who has them. My church has started something like that with the ladies every month just because there was no where else that had the scrapbooking parties.

Elizabeth Gottfried (UA Basketball Coach's wife) used to be a Creative Memories Consultant. She had classes in her home. I took one about 10 yrs ago... I don't know if she still does it.
She still does it (Elizabeth Gottfried). I know they've moved and she was trying to get her room together and start having more crop times. She has amazing ideas - and you don't even have to be creative (I'm talking to you schroo006...lol). Not only that - but some of the best ideas I have stolen from other people.

The one by Sugarfoots closed down a while ago. And I think there are some other people that sell creative memories in town. And goodGolly, I am like you, I get my ideas from other people usually. I buy scrapbooking magazines like Creating Keepsakes and get ideas from those. And there is a really good scrapbooking store in B'ham called Scrap, Etc. It is in that newer Shopping Center close to the Galleria.
oooh. I didn't know such parties existed. Being a Pampered Chef consultant, you know I love parties like this. If anyone decides to host one, please send me an invite!
I use Sabrina too. She is great. She has all the Creative Memories stuff in her house so you can go shopping. She does great parties. KatieEm, if you were wanting to host a party that would make a great MNO. There is also a big scrapbooking event going on in October called Croptoberfest. If anyone is interested Let me know. I go pretty much every year.

I would be interested too! That is a good idea for a MNO, M2H! Ya know, Jack is almost 2 and I still have to make his 1 year album! I love scrapbooking. I wish I had time for it. I need to MAKE time!
I talked to Sabrina Today And she told me about Croptoberfest. It is going to be held at our Church Daystar family Church on Friday Sept 26th from 5:300 pm- 10:30 pm. There is a registration fee of $15 before 9/15/08 and $18 after that. Seat are limited.
Here is the link to sign up for it. Your can bring your own supplies, but I am sure she will also be selling some as well.
That sounds fun! As far as I know I should be able to go, but let me check to make sure. I scrapbook with a couple of ladies DH works with sometimes. Can I invite them, too?

Of course, the more the merrier, but everyone will have to RSVP on the link that I gave you guys...Right now I don't think that you would need to pay until you get there, but I am not sure about that. I RSVPed and it did not require me to pay on the site.
