Health magazine tells us the most toxic places in our home and one of them is your child's toybox.

Ha! I don't have to worry about anything but the toy box. For that I feel good and terrified at the same time. The most important thing on the list is the one I have to worry about. That is a good idea to have your child checked for lead instead of worrying with checking the toys.
Thanks for the link Kristi!

Well goodness. Apparently I live in a toxic dump! lol. Although I don't have to worry about his toy box since my pots and pans are far more interesting than any old toy in the box.
I do find myself becoming more and more worried about hazards now that toddler-hood has hit though. Especially outside with all the weed killer, ant spray, bug spray, fertilizer, eeeks. I am glad to read about some cities adopting the spray-notification though. There's nothing quite like being pelted with pesticide from the neighbor's yard when you walk outside in the morning.
We did have to break down and get a bug spray and fire ant killer for the yard though. We are under attack here with the fire ants/bugs/gnats/no-seeums/you name it-we got it. The line was drawn in the sand when my LO was attacked by fire ants ending up with 6 bites on his little leg. It's on now. Let the battle begin.
