Thanksgiving comes and goes. I see lights covering houses that I pass at night and they grow in number day by day. Christmas music on certain radio stations already being played 24/7 starting Thanksgiving day. But the one real thing that gets me in the Christmas spirit instantly that I enjoy and have overdone is our annual watching of the movie . . "Christmas Vacation" with Chevy Chase. I can quote every single line in my sleep and it gives my heart that kick start that begins it all! Even my 3 year old can quote some things from the movie! I'm watching it now! Here we go . . . . .
That sounds so nice. Ya know, I was home sick all weekend and looking on the tube for a good Christmas movie and couldn't find anything. Can you believe it? I really wanted "It's a Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Story" or "Christmas Vacation." Nothing.
ABC Family, Hallmark, and Lifetime are playing some pretty good Christmas movies. They are nothing like the classics, but still help in getting me into the spirit.
