Hello ladies! I added to a thread about this but several ladies suggest I start a new thread. A close friend of my sister lost her house and everything in it to a house fire last weekend. She has a 3 year old! I am trying to help her get stuff together for the little girl, husband and mom. They are such a sweet family! My sister is taking her and the little girl to lunch today and will find out what they need beyond the nessecities. They are staying with her mom right now. I know the little girl will need toys and such but my sister is going to find out what kind of room they have and what their arrangements will be in the near future. Here are their sizes:
Mom- 6/8 shoes 8
Dad- 32/32 pants large shirts shoes 9 1/2
Little girl- 3T clothes and 8 shoes

Thanks so much! I can arrange to meet anyone who has things to donate! I am meeting a mom at ACA next week to pick up some stuff.

Let me look through my stuff tonight - But I'm pretty sure I'll have some clothes and shoes for mom, and some clothes and maybe toys for the little girl.

I can help dress the dad. My DH has extra shirts I need to get rid of.

I just had an idea...for the SAHMs who do the baby play date each Friday maybe at next week's play date those who have stuff can bring items and that way you'll be able to pick up a bunch of stuff in one place. Just an idea to make it easier on you, Kate and Emma's proud mom.

BTW, it's wonderful the way you are helping this family.

Okay, I went shopping early (I knew I couldn't wait! Smiler), so I'll have my stuff together next week.
Could you meet me at ACA on Monday or Tuesday afternoon, KAPM (that's a mouthful!)?
Just PM me with your preferred day & time, your name and what kind of car you'll be in, and I'll be there!
I'll have 3 or 4 pairs of Crocs, a pair of sandals, 3 or 4 jeans, an inchworm and a folding tricycle . Plus more, probably.

My husband has never in his life worn those sizes, KEPM! And I've been out of them for ...oh...I don't know... how old is my LO? More than four years! Red Face
Oh well!

I wish I could help the mom but I also am no where near that size and lo is only 13 months but my dh may have some things for the Dad. Also, I'll ask around and see if anyone else I know has anything.

Good Morning everyone! Thanks to everyone who has contacted me to donate stuff!! My sister saw the mom and dad Friday night. They have rented a garden home for the time being. They did have home owners insurance! Apparently a teenager that lived in their neighborhood broke in a stole their tv, xbox, basically all electronics and then set the house on fire. His little brother turned him in and he is in jail now. CRAZY!!! Anyway the mom LOVED everything my sis brought over Friday and was so grateful for everything. Just PM me if anyone else needs me to meet them and pick up stuff. Thanks again!!!
