Jack's mommy |
This is really interesting.
I knew about not putting hot leftovers in the fridge. But I've definitely put my purse on the kitchen counter. And my shoes are in my closet. And my toothbrush is on my sink. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/23727879/ ![]() |

I've always hung my purse on the back of a kitchen chair, but I just like to save counter space. Now I'll do it for health reasons, too!
And I've known about the toothbrush/toilet horror for a while now - it's how I got my husband to close the lid (BEFORE he flushes!) - but I've always wondered why my Mother-in-law waits for her food to cool before refrigerating it. Now I know, huh? |

Ok, I knew about the food, the toothbrush, and the countertops (thanks to Mythbusters), but I had no idea about the kitchen sink. I clean mine out every night (thanks Flylady), so I am hoping mine is not as bad. I definitly have to tell my DH not to keep putting his coffee in the freezer. Although, he alwasy puts unopened bags in there (he buys several when they are on sale and freezes them), so I am not sure if it would condensate if the package hasn't been opened. Nevertheless, I will tell him to stop freezing his coffee. Thanks for the post!

Most of these, I've known about. But, I've lived in "filth" for over 40 years, so I guess I haven't suffered too many adverse effects. LOL My shoes will remain in the closet--when they're not strewn through the house. I have a drawer for my toothbrush. I put it away most of the time. I never sit my purse on the bathroom floor. But with all that toilet spray, am I any better off? It does end up on the countertop sometimes. I'll try not to do that.
Speaking of toilet spray, unless I do close the lid before I flush (like DM), am I not getting covered with more spray than my toothbrush? I am a lot closer. Sometimes, it's best not to think about the amount of filth around us. |
