Does anyone know the best way to clean laminate floors?
We have them and I've been using the Swiffer wet mop and it leaves streaks. But I've read online that it's supposed to work well. I've also read online to use Windex or a mixture of vinegar and water and plenty of other things. I don't know what to believe.

What exactly are laminate floors. I know I sound stupid, sorry. We have Pergo floors...is that laminate? If it is, I buy a special spray cleaner at Lowes or Home Depot especially for Pergo floors. Then I just spray the floor and mop it up with a dry dusting mop. I bought the mop (with some cloth covers that you can remove and wash) at Walmart.

My mother swears by Mop-n-glow. It shines them with no streaks and no waxy film. She LOVES it! Swiffer stuff is gooey, even on linolium it feels waxy/sticky when done with no shine, dull looking.

When I had those kind of floors, I mopped them with Pine Sol and then once every 2-3 months I got on my hands and knees with a scrub brush, towel and Mean Green and scrubbed them. I couldn't stand it when you can see of that dirt in the cracks of the flooring. It was amazing how much dirt came up when you scrub with a scrub brush.

Check out the photo on the homepage right now with all the Elmo stuff. That is my floor. Look like any of yours?
I'm going to just talk to someone in Lowe's next time I'm there about what I should be buying. I know I'm not doing it right.

Those look just like mine. We put those floors in after we moved in and we were told never to mop them with water. And I never have, but I have noticed that if we spill watyer or something on the floor, when we wipe it up it leaves a streak. Try getting the laminate floor cleaner at Lowes and a dry dusting mop.

I got a cleaner from Home Depot I think (maybe Lowe's though lol), it was in the floor department and it's made by Armstrong. It's a citrus like floor cleaner with no soap. It works really well.

Orange Glo is great. Get it at WalMart. It cleans well, no streaks, nice and shiny.

FYI, I picked up a laminate cleaner called Bruce and it works GREAT. I used it today and I'm very pleased.
There's a whole kit with a mop at Lowe's for #20.
