About a million years ago, when I put up my first real tree in my first real house, I got out my teeny-tiny box of ornaments and realized that there was something definitely wrong with my situation at hand: A 12 ft tree and a teeny-tiny box... and a teeny-tiny budget!

So, off to K-Mart I went. I bought hundreds of plain glass colored balls, 12 to a box for a little of nothing. I filled up the tree. It was beautiful & everyone raved about it. The tradition stuck... glass balls were for me. Sure, I added some stuff, but the basic theme remained glass balls. One year, I decided to do a "fancy" tree and everyone was wondering where my pretty tree was... they were looking forward to it!

Now, the balls are dwindling in number (especially after one huge storage box took a tumble last year) and the ones that are left are losing their color.

So, off to K-Mart I went. But, WHOA... K-Mart has "upgraded" to Martha Stewart: 6 bucks for 4 balls! I know this is still relatively cheap for an ornament... but I gotta lot of ornaments to replace!

Any suggestions as to where I can find the cheap stuff? I can't tell you how much I love them! And would suggest anyone try them. Hang them all over the tree--starting near the trunk. You will be amazed at how they reflect the light.

TIA & Happy Holidays!

Wal-mart has them for a little bit of nothing. I had to buy a couple of replacement boxes last year and I think they were only $1 to $1.50 for 12 depending on the size you are looking for.

Big Lots is another place to find really cheap Christmas ornaments in all colors and shapes. I do my tree in white, silver and gold and found a ton of great stuff for cheap there last year. Wink

Any "dollar" store or drugstore. Walgreens has a great assortment and so does the dollar stores.
