Hi! My family and I are moving to Tuscaloosa sometime this summer. I two daughters who are 3 and 4. If anyone could give me any information I would appreciate it so much. We have lived in a small town in lower Alabama our whole lives and now we are MOVING!! We are excited but also a little nervous. I look forward to meeting everyone!!
Welcome, sbrown0603! And welcome to Tuscaloosa! We moved here last summer. My son is 18 months old. I remember how nervous and excited I was to move here too. This is a great place to raise a family. As you can tell from this site, there are plenty of friendly moms around here. And we have started to meet each other through the book club and meet ups and Moms Nights Out. Look forward to meeting you too!
Welcome! I have lived in Tuscaloosa all my life and I think that it is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I have 3 children, 2boys(ages 8yr. and 4yr.) and 1girl(9mo). Good luck with your move.
Hi, welcome sbrown0603. I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa too. Its a great place to live. I hope you like football because we are defiantly a football town. I have a little boy that just turned 2. I am looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome! I've lived in Tuscaloosa for 11 years now and I love it! I couldn't ask for a better place to raise my three LOs. They are - 4 1/2, 2 1/2, and almost 8 months - boy, girl, boy.
You mentioned that you might need some information, and as Kristi mentioned before there are great people on here who would be happy to help with that. If you will just let us know what you might need - we'll work on it!
I hope that you will be able to join us for some of our activities once you get settled.

Hey, Sbrown!! I moved here from lower Alabama, too (Dothan. Are you anywhere near there?), and really love it. I have a 3.5 YO boy (and an 18 yo who stayed in Dothan), and we've lived here almost two years now. Welcome to Tuscaloosa & the forum. And good luck with your move - I know that can be REAAALLLLY stressful!

Hi, and welcome! I'm echoing the sentiment that we're all happy to help. Lots of us have moved here from other places and have experience finding peds, grown up doctors, real estate agents, etc.
We moved here three years ago from the Washington DC area (but I grew up in South Florida) and we love it. I have two little girls, 4 and 1 and 1/2.
I'm looking forward to learning more about you.

I would like to say thanks to everyone who has said hi. It makes moving a little easier to know that there are some nice people to meet. We actually live in Troy right now (GO TROJANS!!), so we are very used to football and game days and football. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what gymnastics and ballet studios are the best there. My 4 year old loves her classes and I need to find one for her. Thanks again for making me feel welcome!!
Hi and welcome. I'm Niki, sahm to 3 little ones, Jacob(6), Alex(3), and Alyssa Kate(12mts). We moved here last summer from Va. Beach, but I grew up not to far from here.
I think the best gymnastics place is tumblin tides. As for the ballet, i'm not sure.
