I am kinda new to this site but it looks great so far. My name is Donna and I am 39. My baby (well toddler now I guess lol) is 16 months old. He is the first and only for me and my husband. Motherhood is definately new to me and I hope I'm doing this right. Our son is such a hoot and he makes every day an adventure. I am so glad to find a local site of mommies so I can gain some wonderful wisdom plus learn more about the area.
Welcome Donna!! I also have a 16 month-old little boy. What is your LO's birthday? I agree. Every day is definitely an adventure. It's the best! And this age is so fun, eh? Jack is saying new words and doing new things every day. Where are you from, then? I'm from NY and am also getting to know the area. We moved here 9 months ago.

Thank you Kristi. I am so glad I found this site. Yes they are so fun at this age. My LO is Nikolas and his b'day is Nov. 29th. He was a long time coming but so worth the wait! I was raised in a military family so I grew up across America. I moved here from Mississippi about 6 years ago. I really like it here, not too big and not too small. I went on hiatus from working when I was pregnant and am fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom now, but it is still hard work believe me! But I love being with Nikolas and seeing him learn new things all the time (the problem is staying one step ahead of him).
My LO was born January 2nd, he is 15 months old. He is soooo much fun. I am a first time mom too at 25. He does new things every day and continues to amaze me.
This site is great. We are alot different in our ages and backgrounds, but we have our kids in common, and everyone is very nice. Our editor, Kristi, does a wonderful job.
I look forward to getting to know you.
There is a Babypalooza tomorrow from 10-3 at University Mall. Kristi, Jennifer (moozle), and I will be there. We would love for you to stop by if you get a chance.

haha..no I wasn't at Tampa General. My due date was really Dec. 8th (a day before my b'day). But my blood pressure went up and stayed up so they started inducing the night of the 28th. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section the 29th. He was certainly big enough at over 9 pounds.
Oh wow. I'm glad everything turned out OK. I was a week overdue. My due date was 11/20 (my mom's birthday). It was an interesting Thanksgiving that year, wasn't it? I had 9 family members taking tentative bites of food and staring at my face and stomach. And my hospital bag by the door. LOL
Hey Donna! Looks like I'm a little late on this one, but welcome to the forum. I joined the group because I'm pretty new to the area (we moved here from Dothan almost two years ago), and it's been a big help. Kristi & all of the other moms are very helpful & interesting. I also left my job while pregnant with my LO (more than three years ago) and just never went back. I just couldn't do it, so I've been a stay at home mom ever since. And here's another coincidence for ya: I'm originally from NY, too. Isn't that nuts?! I'm from Queens and I think Kristi said she's from Albany (?). Did you say what part you're from? Anyway, nice to meet you!

Yes Kristi, Thanksgiving will never be the same! I started having what I swore was labor pains on Thanksgiving day and I spoke to my belly telling Nikolas to hold on and let me get my dinner . Thanks for the welcomes everyone! DistractedMom..thanks for the welcome also! I'm not from NY, I moved here from MS (woohoo right haha). I mostly grew up half in Delaware and half in California. It is very nice to meet everyone.
Welcome Donna!! I just joined the site too so we can be newbies together. My DD is 15 months old so we will be facing alot of same challanges at the same time. I look forward to getting to know you Jennifer
