Is your child having a birthday slumber party? I used to love having my friends sleep over after my childhood birthday parties. I'm not sure how much my parents loved it though! I think I had 10 or 12 girls sleep over one time.
Here are some tips from Parenting.com for hosting one. Got any tips of your own to add? http://www.parenting.com/article/Child/Activities/How-to-Host-Slumber-Parties ![]() ![]() |

I used to have slumber parties every year for my birthday and most of my friends did too. I'd often have close to 10- or maybe a little over 10 friends over. To us (the kids) the whole point was to stay up all night or as long as we could possibly make it, anyway. The first person to fall asleep usually got their face drawn on or something. So, I guess I don't really understand the tips that involve getting the kids to go to bed. I know the kids will be crabby the next day (and the parents probably miserable, too) but it's fun and birthdays are only once a year!
