Great meeting, ladies! Lots of good discussion on Life of Pi. And lots of good discussion during social hour too. LOL. Glad we all enjoyed the book so much. Moozle, you were so organized and had great discussion points. Thank you for leading us!
Oh, and she found a great website that gives pointers for leading a book discussion. I will post it in here when she sends it over and make it a sticky at the top of the forum. We decided we'll keep a folder with all the handouts we're accumulating about books we'd like to consider reading. We'll pass the folder to the next leader at each meeting. And, fyi, you don't have to lead if you don't want to. It's whoever wants to volunteer. The next book is The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards. Check out the "Third Book" thread for details about it. GoodGolly offered to lead the next meeting and she also offered to have it at her house. Perhaps we can all bring a yummy snack to share? So when should the next meeting be? Please take our poll in this forum. Hope to see many more of you at the next meeting! This book looks good! |

I had so much fun last night ladies!! I already can't wait til next month.
Kristi - this is the site I had looked at: http://bestsellers.about.com/od/bookclubresources/ht/how_lead_talk.htm There are others out there too, but I liked these guidelines and thought they would be helpful to each person when it's their turn to lead. |

I loved seeing everyone again - and I'm so glad that BuckeyeGal was able to join us.
I can't wait to add people to the group and to start on the next book. I think we picked a good one! |

Hi Ladies
It was great meeting all of you last night! Moozle, I am glad that you had some questions that were broad in focus for the discussion. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute more fully to the book discussion next time. I am excited for more chances to meet up and for this group to grow. MNO should be a great time. |
