Jack's mommy |
LOL. This debate will never die, eh?
An interesting article. I do both and I like it that way. But it's hard to work at home especially as he grows. http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/worklife/07/14/working.m...look.back/index.html |

I'm printing this one out, Kristi! It's very interesting. And it's good to know that my soul is not in danger - since I have no ambition whatsoever!

I had to look up the reference documented in this article. Here is the link. ...
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&lr=&q=info:AGS2...com/&output=viewport I have only read the abstract so far--will have to wait until later to read the whole thing. I'm interested to see how many women they interviewed, and if they controlled social, financial, and educational variables. Interesting study, though. I have been thinking about this a lot lately--actually, a few of us moms had a pool side conversation about this earlier today at the Rec Center. I, like Kristi, have been working from home, but have to return to full time in a month (eek!). My lo will be 15 mo. I feel confident about the childcare we have lined up, but I definitely am anxious and sad about not being with him full time. I think we all just have to do the very best we can at everything on our revolving plates....know what and when to let go of some things, and when to work harder at others....and try to enjoy it all in the meantime! |
