My dad definitely did this to me growing up. But he took the opportunity to have the "important talks" with me rather than quiz me on English or math. So all of a sudden a car ride to grandma's would turn into a talk about my love life. And I had no where to go. LOL.

Do you practice carschooling with your children?

Oh man ... this is how my mom told me about periods. I still shudder thinking of how I was unable to escape!!! I was not the type of kid comfortable talking about such things.

LOL.

It's pretty smart though really - you have a captive audience!

I have noticed that DH and I do it too. Or rather I do it to DH. If I have something important to talk about, I corner him when we're on a drive to Birmingham or something and he can't run away.
