Jack's mommy |
A father abandoned his nine children, ranging in age from 1 to 17, at an ER in his state of Nebraska and cannot be prosecuted because of a new safe haven law there.
The law allows parents to give up their children at any state-licensed hospital without fear of prosecution. Do you agree with this law? Link ![]() |

I absolutely agree with it because I think it keeps parents like that from doing something more drastic like hurting the kids or worse. I would rather they be dropped off somewhere they can be taken care of than stay in an abusive situation. Unfortunately, those nine kids don't really have a chance at all of staying together which is really sad. Maybe a family member can take them all in.

I saw this yesterday and it infuriated me!
Yes I would rather them be abandoned than other things. BUT, If they are going to make a law so that ADULTS do not have to take responsibility for the children that they brought into this world, then there needs to be some kind of regulation so these people weren't able to concieve in the first place!
